Overview

Forest Health training is a course designed for Government of Alberta and forest industry staff responsible for managing the health of provincial forests. Using a blend of classroom lectures and field tours, the goals of this course are to create:
  • Consistent interpretation and application of forest health related legislation and guiding documents.
  • Increased awareness of forest health and how it relates to effective resource management.
  • Increased awareness of potential impacts and management approaches to forest health problems.
  • Integration of forest health into the planning and decision-making framework.
