Overview

This is a general firefighting skills workshop, consisting of classroom lectures, case studies, and field labs. Instruction will cover the theory required for participants to become a certified ignition specialist. Specific topics include: strategy and tactics, position duties and responsibilities, safe ignition operations, coordinating operations with airtankers and equipment, and kit review and maintenance. Attendance at this workshop will allow you to work as uncertified ignition specialists with supervision.
