About Permanent Sample Plots (PSP)/Research Sample Plots (RsP)

A PSP/RsP can be held under:

  • Disposition Reservation (DRS),
  • Consultative Notation (CNT), or
  • Protective Notation (PNT).

Each type of reservation has an associated penalty that can be invoked if the protected plot is disturbed.

Clients applying to utilize Crown land must obtain a land standing listing (of activities on Crown land within an area defined by a legal description) from the Geographic Land Information Planning System (GLIMPS). This site contains PSP/Research Plot (RsP) information on reservations that are administered by the offices.

The remarks on a land standing will provide the plot number, as well as a contact person's phone number.
