Alberta Victim Assistance - Survey For Stakeholders
The Government of Alberta is committed to protecting vulnerable Albertans, including victims of crime. To achieve this, we pledged to conduct an immediate review of the current model of victim service delivery, victim assistance funding, and victim compensation to ensure that the current system was meeting the needs of victims.
It is for this reason that the government is developing a new model for Alberta Victim Assistance, which will replace the existing Victims of Crime Financial Benefits Program (VFB). For information on the current VFB program, please click here.
Alberta Victim Assistance will effectively provide victims with the services and supports they need, when they need them. But to build this model, we need your input.
The following survey will feedback from stakeholders on how Alberta Victim Assistance should be designed and operated.
Key issues include:
- Who should be eligible for Alberta Victim Assistance?
- What services and supports should available under Alberta Victim Assistance?
- How should victims access Alberta Victim Assistance?
Your feedback is truly appreciated and will play an important role in the development of Alberta Victim Assistance.
