Overview

The Tobacco and Smoking Reduction Act (TSRA) was enacted in 2013, and a review is underway to assess the effectiveness of the current legislative framework to address tobacco-related harms and emerging issues like vaping and use of tobacco-like products (herbal shisha in hookah/waterpipe).

A public survey is a key component of the review.  Albertans are encouraged to provide feedback on ways to further protect the health of Albertans from the harms of tobacco, second-hand smoke, tobacco-like products and vaping, while considering potential impacts on businesses.

Our government is committed to improve the health of Albertans. Your feedback will be used to guide our work towards updating Alberta’s smoking reduction efforts.

The survey will be open until November 29, 2019.
